Kevin Mack in the running for Events & Entertainment Entrepreneur of the Year at The Entrepreneur Awards 2027

Wiktis has entered Events & Entertainment Entrepreneur of the Year in Australia, in the Rising Star band. Every award is decided by public vote.

AUSTRALIA, Thursday 24 September 2026. Kevin Mack, Wiktis, has entered Events & Entertainment Entrepreneur of the Year in Australia at The Entrepreneur Awards 2027, in the Rising Star band. The community vote runs from 1 October 2026, closes with entries by region, and names three to five finalists in each category, from votes confirmed one by one by email.

In their entry, Kevin wrote: “EXPYS-418 demo seed. Wiktis builds commerce and event systems, bootstrapped, out of Melbourne. This statement is seeded so the Member Portal can be looked at with something in it.”

Kevin started Wiktis 12 years ago. The business is now a team of 6, Kevin included.

Finalists are announced four weeks before the night. The winner is named on stage at The Entrepreneur Awards night in Melbourne on June 2027, filmed and streamed, in the room or not. Every country winner goes forward to the Expys Global in Las Vegas in December 2027, where the Global Icon Award winners become EXPY Icons.

How the finalists are chosen

People who know the business vote first: customers, suppliers, staff and peers. One vote per person per category, each confirmed by email. The vote finds the finalists in each category, band and country, and the finalist with the most counted votes wins. Every vote is checked and the count is independently certified. The entry fee pays for the entrant’s page; it never buys a vote, a finalist place or the result, and sponsors never vote.

Every industry runs at three sizes, so owners are up against businesses their own size: Rising Star (under US$1 million a year), Established (US$1 million to US$5 million a year) and Leading (US$10 million plus a year).
